Unspoiled Central Nevada
Big Smoky Valley
Is located in the
heart of Central Nevada, between the Toiyabe and Toquima mountain range, a vast
wealth of unspoiled wilderness and water, with hard-to-beat hunting for deer,
elk, bighorn sheep, antelope, and upland game. There is excellent trout fishing
in nearly every canyon
Valley floor elevations average about 5600 feet above sea level, with surrounding mountain peaks at 11,800, providing a moderate, 4-season climate.
The Valley is about 10 miles wide and 65 miles long. In this paradise live only about 2,500 people.
Not many people, no large cities or towns; only historic mining camps with modern facilities. No smoking factories, and no dry, barren desert. We do have a relaxed lifestyle. There are cold, clear springs, creeks and green mountain meadows.
Nevada Land Office "NLO" NLO, in Kingston, is located in the Northern part of the Big Smoky Valley. The area is rated "excellent" for outdoor recreation. NLO offers a wide variety of listings within numerous affordable price ranges.
